# QTo Combos: Count, Blockers, Board Pairs

QTo is 12 combos of the 1,326 starting hands (0.90%). See how a known card or a board pair changes the count, plus its rank and equity.

A fifty-two card deck deals QTo in 12 combos, 0.90% of the 1,326 two-card hands. Its place in the ranking of 169 classes is number 47, backed by 57.29% equity against a random hand.

- Combos: 12
- Share of 1,326: 0.90%
- Rank of 169: 47
- Equity vs random: 57.29%
- This hand and stronger: 24.74%

## QTo: the 12 combos

For QTo, there are 4 queens and 4 tens, so 16 pairings, and the 4 that share a suit belong to the suited hand. That leaves 12.

Every QTo you can be dealt is one of these 12 holdings. They are listed once each, higher card first.

The 12 combos of QTo: Qs Th, Qs Td, Qs Tc, Qh Ts, Qh Td, Qh Tc, Qd Ts, Qd Th, Qd Tc, Qc Ts, Qc Th, Qc Td.

## How cards you can see change the count

Known cards cannot be in an opponent's hand. For QTo, the table lists the combos left after one card of each rank is out of play.

QTo combos left after one known card of each rank:

| Known card | QTo combos left |
| --- | --- |
| Ace | 12 |
| King | 12 |
| Queen | 9 |
| Jack | 12 |
| Ten | 9 |
| Nine | 12 |
| Eight | 12 |
| Seven | 12 |
| Six | 12 |
| Five | 12 |
| Four | 12 |
| Three | 12 |
| Two | 12 |

A queen or a ten you can see leaves 9 of 12, so 25% of the combos are gone. Any card of a different rank leaves all 12 combos in play.

## When the board is paired

A pair on the board uses up two of the four cards of its rank. The QTo combos that survive are in the table, one row per rank.

QTo combos left after a pair of each rank on the board:

| Board pair | QTo combos left |
| --- | --- |
| Aces | 12 |
| Kings | 12 |
| Queens | 6 |
| Jacks | 12 |
| Tens | 6 |
| Nines | 12 |
| Eights | 12 |
| Sevens | 12 |
| Sixes | 12 |
| Fives | 12 |
| Fours | 12 |
| Threes | 12 |
| Twos | 12 |

Pairing queens or tens on the board cuts QTo to 6 combos. Every other paired board leaves the full 12.

## A worked example

Take a hand of a queen and a two. Your opponent then holds one of 1,225 possible hands, and 9 of them are QTo. That is 0.73%, or 1 in 136, instead of the 0.98% (1 in 102) you get when your cards do not block it.

## How strong is QTo?

Rank 47 of 169 belongs to QTo, inside the top 60 classes, on 57.29% equity against a random hand. Equity here is wins plus half of the ties across all boards.

Add QTo to every hand ranked above it and you hold 328 of the 1,326 two-card hands, 24.74% of all deals.

## QTo against ranges of hands

A range is a list of hands, and equity against it weights each hand by its live combos. For QTo the five ranges give 31.79% against the top 5 percent (60 combos), 33.15% against the top 10 percent (130 combos), 35.65% against the top 20 percent (264 combos), 39.24% against the top 30 percent (386 combos) and 46.90% against the top 50 percent (658 combos).

QTo equity against the strongest hands:

| Opponent range | Combos in range | QTo equity |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Top 5 percent | 60 | 31.79% |
| Top 10 percent | 130 | 33.15% |
| Top 20 percent | 264 | 35.65% |
| Top 30 percent | 386 | 39.24% |
| Top 50 percent | 658 | 46.90% |

QTo is behind all five of these ranges, even the top 50 percent, so it is the underdog on average against each of them.

Holding QTo removes some premium combos from an opponent's reach: of the 130 in the top 10 percent, an average of 115.00 remain. That is 15.00 combos fewer than the 130 an opponent has before you look.
