## TT against 64s: the numbers

**Exact preflop results for TT against 64s, in percent**

| Hand | Wins | Ties | Loses | Equity |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| TT | 79.166 | 0.492 | 20.342 | 79.412 |
| 64s | 20.342 | 0.492 | 79.166 | 20.588 |

TT and 64s are a pocket pair and a suited hand, in that order. Here a pair faces two cards that are both smaller, so the other hand needs to pair up and still be behind.

TT is well ahead, and 64s needs a specific kind of board to catch up. Ties are 0.49% of the outcomes here; each tied board gives both hands half the pot.

The hand ranking puts TT at 5 and 64s at 138 out of 169 starting hands.

**Boards behind the percentages: 41,095,296 counted in all**

| Hand | Boards won, about | Boards tied, about | Boards lost, about |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| TT | 32,534,000 | 202,000 | 8,360,000 |
| 64s | 8,360,000 | 202,000 | 32,534,000 |

24 specific deals times 1,712,304 boards gives the exact total. The won, tied and lost counts are approximations from the five-decimal percentages, rounded to the nearest thousand.

**TT against 64s read as odds**

| Hand | Equity as odds (to 1) | Wins one deal in | Loses one deal in | Pot odds needed to call (to 1) |

| 64s | 0.259 | 4.916 | 1.263 | 3.857 |

The final column gives the least the pot must offer for each unit called for a call to break even at this equity.

## Who is ahead on which flops

Split by what the flop looks like, TT peaks at 85.18% on rainbow flops topped by a ten or better and bottoms out at 65.11% on low rainbow flops (nine high or lower). TT stays ahead on all five textures, but the swing between them is large, so how the flop looks matters a great deal.

**TT against 64s by flop texture, in percent**

| Flop | Share of flops | TT wins | Ties | 64s wins | TT equity |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Rainbow, ten or higher | 24.595 | 85.059 | 0.249 | 14.692 | 85.184 |
| Rainbow, nine or lower | 6.314 | 64.788 | 0.643 | 34.569 | 65.109 |
| Two-tone | 46.545 | 77.422 | 0.313 | 22.265 | 77.579 |
| Monotone | 5.212 | 72.845 | 2.446 | 24.709 | 74.068 |
| Paired | 17.334 | 82.624 | 0.674 | 16.702 | 82.961 |

A rainbow flop shows three suits, a two-tone flop repeats one suit, a monotone flop is a single suit, and a paired flop repeats a rank.

## How this was computed

This is an exact count with no sampling. For the 24 ways to deal one TT and one 64s without reusing a card, grouped by suit pattern, every one of the 1,712,304 possible boards is dealt and both seven-card hands are compared. A tie counts as half a win in the equity column, and each board is counted once under each of its ten three-card flops.
